Founder’s Day celebration, to honor Carter G. Woodson, who established the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) in 1915

Athens’ poet laureate Mikhayla Robinson Smith will introduce herself and provide a reading. Prior to that, we will present certificates of recognition to the winners of the Black History Bowl, the oratorical contest, and the Hot Corner essay contest.
